Monday night saw Mixed C and Mixed A play against Deddington A and Marlborough A respectively.

Both teams got off to a good start, with every one of the first rubbers going to three games, Eoin and Calvin edging the first mens rubber for the Mixed A, along with Molly and Carla doing the same to leave Mixed A 2-0 up. Mixed C’s Will and Ben just fell short losing their 3rd rubber 21-17 and Megan and Jordan lost theirs to the same scoreline.

Eoin and Dan came very close to extending Brackley lead, but the tide was starting to turn. They narrowly lost out 21-18 and 24-22. Molly and Charleigh were unable to continue with Mollys momentum leaving the match 2-2. Meanwhile, Will and Joe battled to another close lose for the mixed C, losing 21-15 and 24-22. Megan and Kaajal started well, taking their first game 21-13, but were unable to capitalise on this and slipped to lose the next 2 leaving Mixed C 4-0 down and needing all the remaining rubbers to win.

The final round of rubbers saw Calvin and Dan fight out another close rubber, taking it to three games again but losing the final game 21-16. Carla and Charleigh were unable to keep the match level leaving Marlborough 4-2 up on rubbers. Jordan and Kaajal were able to get the first rubber on the board for mixed C after taking their final ladies rubber to three games. Ben and Joe were unable to replicate their counterparts leaving the match 5-1 going into the mixed rubbers.

Eoin and Molly took to the courts first for their mixed match, they were unable to get the win despite their best efforts. Calvin and Carla battled and took their rubber to three games but lost the final game 21-17. Dan and Charleigh managed to squeeze home the final rubber for Brackley and meaning that despite losing the match, each player of the Mixed A team won one rubber each. The Mixed pairs for Mixed C battled well with Ben and Kaajal and Joe and Jordan managing to get more points on the board but sadly Will and Megan were unable to match their team mates success.
