Brackley Town Mens A travelled to Cramic on Wednesday night to take on their Mens A team in the the League 1 clash. Dan and Tom started the night off, but were unable to get the first rubber on the board, however Connor and Henry managed to get the first point on the board for Brackley at the same time. Calvin and Eoin carried on Connor and Henry’s good start to take their first rubber. Dan and Tom were able to bounce back from their first rubber defeat to narrowly win a tight 3 game rubber putting Brackley 3-1 up. Connor and Henry quickly put another rubber on the board, but Calvin and Eoin could not overcome the Carmix number 1 pair, leaving the game 4-2. Tom and Dan were unable to replicate their teammates games against their final pair leaving the match 4-3 in Brackley’s favour going into the final two rubbers. Connor and Henry fought hard against the undefeated Cramic pair, but lost meaning that it was all down to the final remaining rubber. Eoin and Calvin took the first game 21-11, but then slipped up in the 2nd meaning it all came down to the final game. Eoin and Calvin were able to see this out 21-14 to seal a tough win for Brackley.
