The Brackley Town Mixed B team travelled to Deddington, in a hope of reversing their 5-4 defeat earlier in the season where Henry had to pull out injured in the final deciding rubber. Brackley started well, Connor and Tom taking the first rubber 2-0. The ladies battled well, but were unable to win their first rubber. Connor and Henry carried on their good form and took their mens, putting the pressure back onto Deddington to keep the tie level. Sarah and Maire pushed them all the way, and took it to 3 games, but were unable to secure that point making it 2 rubbers going into the last round of games. Tom and Henry kept up the winning run for Mixed B Mens, as they took their rubber 2-0, this set up the ladies with a good chance to put the game firmly in Brackley’s favour. Sarah and Jess did not disappoint were able to win the rubber to make it 4-2 to Brackley going into the Mixed games, knowing they only had to win the one rubber to take the match. Jess and Henry took their first game to 12, but were push the distance in their 2nd rubber, but were able to seal the win to put the game out of reach for Deddington. This allowed Sarah and Tom, and Connor with Maire a chance to get some valuable extra points on the board with less pressure, both pairs won their rubbers 2-0 capping off a well earned victory for Brackley.
