Tim and Will stepped up in their places and played well, but despite the teams efforts, they were unable to win a rubber. Henry and Connor came close in their first rubber, winning the first game but then losing the next two 21-18 both times. Calvin and Jonathan also came close in their first rubber, again winning the first game but slipping to defeat in the other two. From there Marlborough’s confidence grew and they did no drop a game, eventually winning the match.
