Brackley Town Mixed C took on one of the in form teams in the division on Monday night as Marlborough C travelled to Brackley. It was Mixed C’s first game in this calendar year and they were hoping to turn their fortunes around. Tim named a few changes to the previous side, calling up Anna and Richard for their Mixed C debuts. Tim and Will got the ball rolling and won the first rubber of the match but Mags and Kaajal were unable to replicate this, losing their first one. Tim and Richard came very close in their rubber, but they ended up losing 21-19 and 22-20. Mags and Anna were able to pull the match level again by taking their rubber to 3 games after losing the first game. Marlborough were then efficient and took the final mens and ladies rubbers. This meant that Marlborough were 4 – 2 up going into the mixed rubbers. The mixed pairings for Marlborough were very strong, and they took all three to take the match.
