Grudge Match Monday

The first matches of the season took place on Monday which saw the first two instalments of 6 interclub league matches, Mens A vs Mens B and Ladies A vs Ladies B.

This is not the first time that ladies have had to start their season off against each other, last season the A team coming out on top, could the B team change their fortunes? The B team fielded a strong team consisting of Kaye, Mags, Jess and Megan and they started strongly. But the A team, made up of Molly, Charleigh, Carla and Maire were able to weather the storm, and win the match 4-2 overall with a number of the rubbers going to setting and 2 clear points. The reverse fixture on Monday the 17th is sure to be another close affair.
