The Mens A team had an average season, finishing mid-table with some good wins along the way. If the wins are anything to go by, the Mens A will be a strong team next season.
Captains Player of the Season: Tom England
The Ladies A started the season strongly, but were unable to turn 2 draws into wins and suffered 1 loss. They fell short by 9 points this season but put in good performances which will give them a good chance to push for the league next season.
Captains Player of the Season: Carla Campion
Being in the top division is always tough, and made harder when the team is changed around. Last seasons Cup Champions had to make numerous changes in some games which likely upset the flow. A strong start to the season, winning the first two games, slowly slipped away with the season ending by surviving by 2 points.
Captains Player of the Season: Molly Feltham
The new team for the 2017/18 season gave the ‘Fringe’ Men of the club a change to play in matches. Winning the majority of their games, they finished the season top of the table. It remains to be seen if they will gain promotion depending on the number of teams in the league next season.
Captains Player of the Season: Will Turner
Battling in the same division as the Ladies A team, the ladies B team were able to avoid the bottom of the league. Wining both their matches against Marlborough ‘B’. New team members given a chance shows bright future for the Ladies team.
Captains Player of the Season: Jessica Prior
A very much all change team from last season, the ‘young guns’ taking centre stage for Mixed B. Suffering just the one defeat in the league allowed them to secure promotion to Division 2, the first time any Brackley Mixed team other than the A team to be out of the bottom league. Mixed B then followed up their league success by retaining the Knock Out Cup for Brackley by beating Marlborough A in the final.
Captains Player of the Season: Connor Hunter
The mixed C offered numerous players a chance to play in matches this season, despite finishing bottom of the league, with no wins to their name the Mixed C team had some competitive matches over the season scoring rubbers in all matches with the exception being their match against Mixed B. The final season for Mixed C, with the club deciding to enter an additional Mens team for the 2018/19 season.
Captains Player of the Season: Kaajal Reeves
