Brackley Town Mens ‘A’ team travelled to Cramic on Wednesday to try and secure their place in the top division for another year. Dan and Tom didn’t get off to the best of starts, losing their rubber 2-0 but Connor and Henry were able to battle back in their first rubber to win 2-1. Eoin and Jonathon then carried on the momentum winning 21-9 and 21-11. Dan and Tom continued to struggle to find form on the night, and lost 21-15 and 21-16 making the match 2-2. Henry and Connor made hard work of their next rubber, but were ultimately able to win after being taken to 3 games. Eoin and Jonathan were then unable to win against Cramic’s number 1 pair, putting the pressure onto Dan and Tom meaning they would have to win to give Brackley a chance. Thankfully, Dan and Tom were able to win which, due to Connor and Henry losing their rubber, made the match all square going into the last rubber. Eoin and Jonathan were able to secure the match 21-16 21-16 giving Brackley the win.
