Brackley Town Mens ‘B’ and Ladies ‘A’ both travelled to Marlborough for matches on Tuesday night.

The Mens ‘B’ team took on Marlborough ‘C’, which they won comfortably. The match did not start too well, with Tim and Will dropping the first game, but they were able to narrowly win the 2nd, and then win the 3rd to put the first rubber on the board for Brackley. Jonathon and Tom made easier work of their rubber, taking the games 21-16 both times. Nadeem and Muhib carried on the momentum by taking their first rubber 21-7 and 21-18, making the game 3-0. The match continued in a similar fashion, with Brackley winning the remaining rubbers, although being pushed the distance in 2 rubbers, these ones going to 3 games.

The Brackley Ladies ‘A’ were coming into the match trying to maintain their 100% winning start to the season. The match started off very close, with the match being 1-1 after the first set of rubbers. Marlborough then took the next two rubbers to be in control (3-1) going into the final two rubbers. Brackley were able to win these to keep up their undefeated start to the season.
