Last night, Brackley had their annual festive tournament with the 4 round robins group stages with the top two going into the knock out rounds! Everyone played very well, a special mention going to Molly who’s partner let her down so she had to play singles and she very nearly made it though, but the following made it into the Quarter Finals; Winners of Group A, Paula and Mike faced the Runners up in group C Henry and Simon. Winners of Group B Dan and James took on Runners up of Group D Kaye and Mark. Winners of Group C Jess and Jonathan took on the Runners up of Group B Tom and Kaajal. And the last quarter final was Winners of Group D, Anna and Tim against Runners up of group A Hassi and Richard. In the Semi’s Paula and Mike lost out to the very strong Dan and James who had not lost a game through the night. But on the otherside of the draw, Jess and Jonathans run of wins came to an end as they suffered their first defeat of the night to Hassi and Rich. This left Hassi and Rich to take on James and Dan in the Final. The contest was very close, but in the end, James and Dan edged it taking the final 21-18, Paula and Mike bounced back from their Semi Final disappointment to claim the 3rd place play off.
